Another Glorious Day in the Garden

The weather was again beautiful today.  As we closed down and organized the ending of the Fall Plant Sale, we did haul mums ($9), asters ($4) and bulbs (priced as marked) over to the Parker Education Center for continued sales while supplies last!  We saw lots of visitors out in the gardens today and many observed Larry H. and Big John putting up lights for the Holiday Light Show (opens November 23!).  Cindy, Alex, John and Larry H. all had wide ranging duties and Bobby K. stopped in for a meeting.  Our volunteers today included Kathy P., Eva, Kay, Sharon L., Tina B., Grace, Cathy E., Vern, Bill O., Dick P., Gary S. and many others.  Falling asleep at my laptop…great day!  Nice shot directly above of ‘Hopi Red Dye’ amaranth (Amaranthus hybrida).
