Ball Customer Day – 2016

Sorry for the belated post.  All of these photos are from adventures last Friday!  Janice, Big John and I went to the Ball Customer Day in West Chicago, Illinois.  The gardens back in Janesville were in good hands with Larry H., Terry, Cindy, Nolan and Trevor keeping an eye on things with volunteer help from Larry O., Bill O., Kathy, Eva and Kay.

This annual one day event is a lot of fun and I’ve attended four of these in the past.  Our trip went smoothly and we enjoyed touring the trial gardens throughout the morning.  I split off from John and Janice as I wanted to take lots of photos and they wanted a lab tour. (they would have just slowed me down anyway! :) )  The Ball Company hosts this event and usually will get 3,000 plus attendees from around the country (and world).  I wish I had more time there but was able to get through the entire gardens before pounding rain arrived around noon.  I saw many old friends and connected with lots of folks.  We left during the deluge and made good time home.  Needless to say, we had a great day and I saw lots of neat plants for future consideration!  I only took about 1,000 photos which isn’t a record but was sufficient for 2.5 solid hours on the ground.
