Cloudy and Productive

The top photo is from underneath a ‘Green Mountain’ sugar maple (Acer saccharum) that I was near often today as I stretched out more cords for the Holiday Light Show (HLS).  Larry H., Bobby K. and Alex all worked on HLS duties throughout the day and I continue to make progress daily on getting displays and lights “wired up”!  The weather was cloudy and cool but still quite nice for the first day of November.  Nice shot above in the alpine garden with the rich rust fall color on ‘Debonair’ pond cypress (Taxodium ascendens) which is a deciduous conifer.  Our excellent volunteers included Kathy P., Eva, Derrick, Marv, Tim, Kay, Ron Y., Jim, Dave, Vern, Steve J., Maury, Sandi, Cathy, John J., Steve L., Alan, Bob K., Dr. Gredler, Barb C., Linda B. and many more.  We also saw Mark S., Becky, Laura and Shelly.  It was another great day.
