Educational Programs at RBG that require registration are listed below. Other educational opportunities are available which do not require registration. You may find those opportunities here.

There are three ways to register:

  1. Register online, using a credit/debit card as your payment method.
    To do so, simply click the link in the event you wish to attend.
  2. Visit the information desk on-site. You can find hours and location found here.
  3. If you prefer to mail in your registration, please download the registration form, here, and mail in your form with payment.

March

*March 18, 2017, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.Edible Landscaping” Spring Symposium with speakers Rosalind Creasy, Lisa Hilgenberg, and Mark Dwyer.  Registration required by March 16, 2017.   $75 non-members, $65 RBG Friends and active Master Gardeners.

May

* May 3, 2017, 6:00 p.m.:  Guided Tour at Anderson Japanese Gardens in Rockford, Illinois.  Registration required by April 26, 2017.  $11.50 (no discounts).  Maximum 40 participants.

* May 10, 2017, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.  Asian Brush Painting Class.  Create a piece of art to take home under the instruction of artist Stella Dobbins.  $20 non-members, $17 RBG members.  Maximum 20 participants.  Registration required by May 8, 2017.

* May 17, 2017, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.  Bonsai:  Its Art and Philosophy seminar and demonstration by Dr. Charles Mortensen$5 non-members, $3 RBG members.  Maximum 20 participants.  Registration required by May 15, 2017.

June

*June 25, 2017  1:00 p.m. to 3:00  p.m.:  “Wild Edible and Poisonous plants of Wisconsin” garden hike with Dave Bendlin.  Pre-registration required by Friday, June 23, 2017.  $5 for non-members, $3 for RBG Friends members.   Limit 20 participants.

July

* July 24 and 31, 2017, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.Garden Photography for Beginners” class with Marsha Mood, Rotary Botanical Gardens volunteer photographer.  Registration required by Friday, July 21, 2017.  $10 non-members, $6 RBG members.  Limit 20 participants.

August

* August 9, 2017, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.Horticultural Therapy Symposium designed for home gardeners and professionals alike.  Learn to develop and maintain successful programs as well as address personal gardening goals.  Save the date!

November

* November 4, 2017, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.Fall Symposium  devoted to the study of Landscape Design.  Save the date!

* November 15, 2017 – 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.:  Hands-on “Evergreen Arrangement” design class with Patty Bailey.   Registration required by November 13, 2017.  $25 for members and $30 for the public.  Limit of 20 participants.
