We had muggy morning for our fifth Volunteer Work Day although that didn’t stop our 25 volunteers from helping out today. Next Saturday is our last for the Spring (8 am – 12 noon) and the progress over these past five Saturdays have been amazing. We planted five smaller areas today and the gang kept shifting around from the terrace garden to North Point, to a bed by the reception garden to the Heirloom Garden and plenty of work in the gazebo garden (in advance of an afternoon wedding). Thanks to Wes, Maryam, Mary W. (above), Mary D., Joe, Abe, Jenna, Gena, Maggie and her daughter, Hal, Doris, Alan, Sue, Dawn, Dale, Janet, Jennifer, Abigail, Brian, Donna, Andrea, Bill O., Larry O. and others I likely missed. Thanks to grounds staff, Nolan and Big John for helping out and we also saw Maury, Karen and Bobby K. It was another great day and we beat most of the heat!
