Poised and Ready

Day two of Spring Plant Sale preparation went extremely well and we had another great team which included rookies Bill and Sandy seen above.  They did a great job along with Brian, Joy, Maryann, Ron R., Bev D., Doris, Alan, Mary, Roy, Barb and Sue.  They finished pricing, arranging plants, securing labels and double checked everything over with some watering to finish the morning.  The sale is ready to rock and roll and the pre-sale for RBG Friends Members is tomorrow (9 am – 4 pm) where members receive a 10% discount (over the duration of the sale) and the best selection.  Big John and Larry also helped with various components of the plant sale preparations and everything went smoothly.  The guys also had some gardening tasks as well.  Bob K. got our water feature up and running in the Nancy Yahr Memorial Children’s Garden and had an assortment of projects. It will be a busy weekend out in the gardens so we need to make sure everything is tidy out there as well.  That will be a big focus on Friday.

Roy and Mary also did some gardening as did Eva.  Our Grumpies also included Ron Y., Dave, Vern, Gary Dick P., Dick H., Maury, Ron R. and Alan.  There were so many projects going on it was tough to keep up!  I was on the radio (WCLO) to promote the Spring Plant Sale and we’ll continue to hope for great weather and a strong turnout.
