Welcome to Rotary Botanical Gardens!

Located in Janesville, Wisconsin, Rotary Botanical Gardens is an award winning 20-acre, non-profit botanic showcase with over 24 different garden styles and 4,000 varieties of plants. Visitors to the Gardens may enjoy guided garden tours, shopping, and a variety of educational classes and programs. The elegant facility is also available for special event rentals.

Please review our Calendar of Events prior to your arrival. Rotary Botanical Gardens may close certain parts of the building or Gardens for private events. Please call 608-314-8416 with any questions regarding your visit.

*Rotary Botanical Gardens’ Members and those with a membership card from a participating American Horticulture Society Reciprocal Admissions Program card may visit the Gardens at no charge during regular business hours (excludes special events.) Hours & Location

Carry-Ins

You are more than welcome to bring a picnic to RBG. We have a wonderful Terrace Garden that is available to the public, with tables, chairs, and umbrellas. Please note that this area may be rented out. To confirm availability, please contact us at 608.752.3885. Please, no carry-in alcoholic beverages on the Garden grounds.

Pets

The Garden only allows certified service animals that assist people with disabilities on site (no pets.) To learn more about ADA requirements, click here.

Weather

The Garden makes every effort to remain open during posted hours although the Garden reserves the right to close due to inclement weather.

Parking

FREE parking is available at the Gardens. Vans and buses may drop off visitors at the entrance of the Parker Education Center and park in the lot or on Palmer Drive.

Accessibility

RBG is 95% accessible with some areas in the Japanese garden being challenging due to steps and bridges.  There are also many moderate slopes that visitors should be aware of upon arrival. Please ask for an “accessibility map” that highlights not only the challenging slopes but also the level paths that have minimal challenges. Download an accessibility map here.

Wheelchairs

As a courtesy to guests, RBG has several wheelchairs available for use at RBG at no cost. They are available on a first-come first-serve basis.

No Weapons or Firearms Allowed at Rotary Botanical Gardens Except for Sworn Law Enforcement Officers as permitted by Wis. Stats. Section. 943.13(1m)(c) 2 and required by Rotary Botanical Gardens Weapon Policy.

Although weapons and firearms are banned, Rotary Botanical Gardens cannot ensure the protection of visitors or its employees from individuals who unlawfully enter with weapons or firearms, nor does it offer protection against the actions of violators.

Weapons and firearms are those items that are defined in Janesville General Ordinance 9.88.030 as from time to time amended or renumbered.
