Guided Tour Information

Thank you for your interest in visiting Rotary Botanical Gardens! We love tours and look forward to welcoming your group!

Below you’ll find important information that will help you schedule your trip and place a timely reservation. With 24 distinctive garden areas over 20 acres, you will want to allow approximately two hours for your visit.

Before You Make Guided Tour Reservations:

  • How many people are in your group? Guided tours have a minimum requirement of 8 people and a maximum of 55 people.
    • A reservation is REQUIRED for groups of 8 or more. 
    • Please book your reservation at least 30 days prior to your arrival.
  • Would you like a guided tour?
    • Volunteer guides are available Monday – Friday, April through October, through reservation only.
    • Weekend tours are available by request only.
    • We cannot provide a guide for those who arrive without a reservation. Thank you for understanding.
  • Consider your timeline!
    • Tours can take up to two hours. Please try to arrive on-time as we cannot guarantee an extension of your reserved time to accommodate late arrivals.

  • Plan for additional time. Your group may need a few extra minutes to …
    • Shop at our on-site gift gallery.
    • Eat, use the restroom, or rest before or after your tour.
  • Will you require an electric cart?
    • You may reserve an electric cart for up to five (5) guests who may have mobility impairment issues.
    • Reservations are required at least two weeks prior to your arrival.
    • Carts are operated by Rotary Botanical Gardens staff/volunteers. Guests will not be allowed to operate carts on their own, thank you!

What to Expect:

  • Upon arrival your group will be welcomed by a dedicated staff member or volunteer
  • If you have made prior arrangements for a guided tour, your experienced guide will lead you through the Gardens, detailing the history, plant material and notable points of interest
  • All tours will include up to two hours of walking. There are many spots to stop and rest out in the Gardens
  • If you wish to have an electric cart, reservations must be made in advance
  • Restrooms are located in the Visitor Center. There are no restrooms in the Garden
  • The Cottage Garden Gallery will be open for shopping, there you will find local, handmade works of art
  • Please dress for the weather, your tour will be outdoors
  • The Gardens are accessible; view an accessibility map are here or at the front desk, upon arrival

Youth Tours

Explore the outdoors and engage in nature’s classroom at Rotary Botanical Gardens! We specialize in children’s horticulture education and can assist in planning your visit to the Gardens. It is recommended to have one adult chaperone per five youth.

Youth tours can include an indoor or outdoor activity, a guided walk through the Gardens and more. Youth tours are completely customizable.
