Signage & Wayfinding Overhaul
As Rotary Botanical Gardens continues to grow as a treasured destination and educational resource, we recognize the urgent need to improve how visitors navigate and learn within our 21- acre space.
Over time, many of our signs have become outdated, sun-bleached, cracked, or difficult to read.
The result? a diminished experience for guests, missed learning opportunities, and a gap in how we communicate the beauty and importance of our botanical collection.
Floating Plant Islands for Biodiversity
Rotary Botanical Gardens is continuously evolving its living collections to reflect botanical excellence. Our newest vision? A vibrant, artfully designed planting of Iris ensata- Japanese Water Iris- along the scenic edge of our zig zag bridge.
Known for their breathtaking summer blooms and rich cultural history, Iris ensata are a treasured feature in world-class gardens. We aim to create a similar moment of magic here- right at home in Janesville.
Beneficial Bacteria for RBG's Iconic Pond
Rotary Botanical Gardens' pond is a beloved focal point- home to native wildlife and a favorite photo stop for visitors. Over time, natural processes have led to increased algae, murky water, and a buildup of organic material that impacts the ponds appearance, odor, and ecological balance.
Creation of the Wizard of Ahh's Garden
Rotary Botanical Gardens is dreaming up a one-of-a-kind garden experience inspired by the timeless story of The Wizard of Oz.
This immersive garden - The Wizard of Ahh's Garden - will be designed to awaken the imagination, spark joy, and invite every visitor (young and old) to explore the Gardens with childlike awe.
