Story Walk
StoryWalk at Rotary Botanical Gardens brings Millie Fleur's Poison Garden to life in the Children's Garden! Stroll through the Gardens at your own pace, reading the story page by page along the path, then enjoy hands-on activities and art inspired by the book, all created by our talented Volunteer Crafters.
This year's featured book is Millie Fleur's Poison Garden by Christy Mandin, a charming picture book about an unconventional girl who plants a garden of wonderfully strange plants, teaching a beautiful lesson about celebrating what makes you different. StoryWalk is presented in partnership with Hedberg Public Library.
Join us for the StoryWalk kick-off celebration on Tuesday, June 24 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM! The afternoon includes guided StoryWalk tours through the Children's Garden, guided family tours of the Gardens, craft activities, and face painting by Dabadooya and Co. LLC. The Hedberg Public Library Bookmobile will also be on-site in the parking lot. This event is donation based and takes place RAIN OR SHINE. We have plenty of indoor activities for you to take part in.
The featured book and Millie-inspired merchandise are available for purchase in the Garden Gift Gallery.
