Story Walk
StoryWalk® is an interactive, educational outdoor activity that promotes literacy, reading, health, and movement for children. Pages from a children’s book are displayed one by one along a walking trail, inviting families to read the story together as they walk, explore nature, and stay active. StoryWalk® was created in 2007 by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT, in collaboration with former KHL staff member Rachel Senechal, and is a registered service mark of the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. StoryWalk® now exists across the U.S. and worldwide in 13 countries including Germany, Canada, England, Bermuda, Russia, Malaysia, Pakistan and South Korea. We are happy to be part of this movement alongside our partner, The Hedberg Public Library.
